Partnering With Private Landowners, Jess Jackson, USDA NRCS

How do you build partnerships on working landscapes? Do you have a project that might benefit from working with NRCS? How can you collaborate with landowners to meet your goals?

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is a federal agency that works hand-in-hand with the American people to conserve natural resources on private lands. NRCS provides America's farmers and ranchers with financial and technical assistance to voluntarily put conservation on the ground, not only helping the environment but agricultural operations, too. Learn more about non-regulatory approaches to working with private landowners.

NRCS works in partnership with just about everyone: private landowners, other government agencies (federal, state and local), nonprofits, and corporations. Because our work is done on private property, we have to build trust with our partners. Every day, we are seeking alignment with those who share a vision for working lands.
