Toni Suminski

Toni began working for the Bureau of Land Management in 2000. She started her career working as a wildland firefighter and transitioned to law enforcement mission support and communications in 2009 at the Federal Law Enforcement Communication Center.

In 2011, Toni graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in Life Sciences. In 2014 she co-authored a publication in Urban Ecosystems on the Persistence of Horned Lizards in urban preserves of Central Arizona. 

Toni is a graduate of the BLM's 2015 Emerging Leader program, detailing to Elko, Nevada in a leadership role in the support services branch. She credits her time in Emerging Leader as extremely rewarding, valuing emotional intelligence and building long lasting relationships. 

In 2016, she was selected for the Communication Center Manager position and thoroughly enjoyed leading her team of mission support technicians until she accepted the Leadership Exploration and Development training coordinator position at the BLM National Training Center in Phoenix, Arizona in December 2018.

She enjoys hiking and backpacking, spending time with family, and traveling.
