This approach is grounded in the belief that if you bring together the right people in constructive ways with good information, they will develop reciprocal understanding, shared knowledge, mutual trust and accord. Ultimately, they’ll produce better decisions.

The Situation Analysis, also sometimes called a Conflict Assessment or Stakeholder Analysis, looks at the who – what – when – where – why – and how of a situation. This is an important first step in the successful design and organization of stakeholder engagement.
