Dive deeper with summer courses

Bureau of Land Management partnership meeting icebreaker

At the Academy, peer learning is a cornerstone of our training.

This summer, we’re hosting two live webinar series to help build your skills in facilitation and conflict management.

Join us for Find the Common Threads July 21-25. This weeklong, 15 hour course on Facilitation and Collaborative Problem Solving will help you develop the confidence to lead collaborative processes that turn a potential clash into a catalyst for innovation. Find out what happens when passionate voices collide and how you can solve complex problems that require different perspectives, inter-disciplinary knowledge, and collaboration.

Then in August, Calm the Waters (August 5-7) will help you with difficult conversations. Over the course of three days, you will learn how to find solutions when there are conflicting needs and expectations. This course in Conflict Management and Principled Negotiation will empower you to navigate challenging conversations and negotiate solutions that benefit everyone involved.

Registration is now open. Classes are limited to 25 participants and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Courses will be offered again in October.
