Shane Hershman has served as Field Manager for the Lewistown Field Office, Lewistown, Montana and Administrative Officer at the Central Montana and Highline District Offices in Montana.

Prior to joining the BLM in Sept 2011, Shane served in the United States Air Force in a variety of positions including: UH-1, C-141, C-17, C-5, and KC-10 pilot. He retired in the grade of Colonel after serving over 27 years and 11 months and holding a variety of positions including Squadron Commander, Operations Group Commander, Vice Wing Commander and Deputy Inspector General of Air Mobility Command. 

 

Shane has a bachelor’s degree in Biology, MS in Aviation, MS in Air Mobility and a MS in Strategic Studies.
