Our Strategic Partners cohost training and are involved in planning, announcing, monitoring, evaluating and funding the Academy’s training services. They also recommend and support guest instructors and guest speakers of Academy-led training. Together, we develop curriculum and resources like instructional videos to support our teaching.
The Academy supports our partners’ training programs by sharing training announcements in class, on our website, and on social media. We serve as guest instructors, presenters, and facilitators. We provide relevant results from training needs assessments and course evaluations to advance the field of partnership and community collaboration.
Managing By Network Alumni are at the forefront of developing and supporting the community of practice for the emerging professional field of partnership management and community engagement. They hail from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and work with and on behalf of the people in the nation’s five territories.
Collaborative Conservation: Partnerships in Practice builds on the foundational skills taught in Managing by Network. C2P2 alumni are actively involved in community-based partnerships and further develop their understanding and use of social science concepts, practices, and tools to strengthen community engagement and achieve long-term human and ecological outcomes.
As individuals and a group, alumni serve as strategic partners of the Academy. They support outreach, instruction and curriculum development, and help to keep us in step with changes in agency authorities, practices, initiatives and new training opportunities.
