Human Dimensions (HDgov)

The field of human dimensions (HD) includes diverse approaches for using social science to understand and improve environmental policy, practice and outcomes. Human dimensions inquiries strive to understand human traits and behavior and incorporate that understanding into environmental planning and practice.

What is HDgov?

HDgov is a comprehensive online portal providing easy access to publications, tools, data, and methods. These resources are collected in collaboration with multiple government agencies, academic institutions, and non-government entities to help ensure that both the environmental and social sides are considered when making natural resource management decisions. HDgov also curates a human dimensions job board and hosts Teams Pages, allowing groups with similar research interests to share publications, opportunities, and expertise in a secure online environment.
