If you are looking to expand your peer network and learn from leading practitioners in our field, Managing by Network might be just what you have been waiting for. This unique interagency training program is designed for employees of agencies and organizations working in partnership, community collaboration, and Tribal consultation to cooperatively steward our nation’s natural, cultural, and recreational resources. 

Managing by Network is a live, virtual course that takes place over six months. Coursework combines instruction, discussion, and interaction to promote peer learning, networking, and application on the job. This course teaches the knowledge, skills, and abilities associated with 22 partnership and community collaboration competencies, as defined by OPM.

Managing by Network is a partnership program built on the understanding that learning with and from each other propels us all to new heights. Managing By Network is cohosted by the Bureau of Land Management’s National Conservation Lands and Community Partnerships Directorate; the Department of Interior Office of Collaborative Action and Dispute Resolution; the National Park Service’s Stewardship Institute; the National Partnership Office of the USDA Forest Service;  the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Institute for Water Resources, Collaboration and Public Participation Center of Expertise, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service National Conservation Training Center.

Applicants are encouraged to submit all their paperwork before the priority registration closing date on November 1, 2024. Managing by Network 2025 kicks off virtually on January 29th and 30th.
