Matt Grabau works in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Science Applications Program as the At-Risk Species Coordinator for Arizona and New Mexico.
Matt worked as a riparian restoration manger and scientist on the Colorado River in the southwestern US and northern Mexico for over a decade, where he realized the power of integrating scientific information and partnerships to achieve seemingly impossible conservation objectives.
He brings this perspective to his Fish and Wildlife Service position, where he coordinates multiple partnerships aiming to increase the scale and effectiveness of conservation programs.
Matt has a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Science, and master’s and PhD in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, all from the University of Arizona.
