John Ossanna

John is a Course Leader for the Applied Conservation & Policy Branch with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Conservation Training Center (NCTC). John currently delivers courses primarily related with policy implementation.

John came to NCTC following his graduate work at Indiana University in Environmental Policy and Natural Resource Management. John was a Directorate Fellow in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Maine Ecological Services Office helping develop effect pathways for the Service’s IPaC system.

John is originally from south Florida where he received a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Florida Gulf Coast University.

John is a serious sports fan who enjoys almost all forms of sport. He is also an avid traveler and amateur wood worker. He currently resides in central Maryland.
