In his current role, Chris is responsible for modernizing the recreation permit system for the US Forest Service in order to create more and easier opportunities for the American public to enjoy their Federal lands and waters.
Formerly, as the Executive Director of the Federal Interagency Council on Outdoor Recreation (FICOR), he spent time working with the leadership of the seven FICOR agencies on projects and priorities related to outdoor recreation on Federal lands and waters. Prior to that he held the position as the National Service First Coordinator where he worked to build tools for and solve problems with using the Service First authority.
Chris is a recent transplant from the West Coast and is enjoying finding new recreation opportunities on the lands and waters of the East Coast.
